The culture of violence of youth attending youth clubs

The diploma thesis focuses on the contexts of aggression occuring in the lives of youth attending the youth clubs. This group of adolescents is considered to be at the risk of high-risk behaviour. The theoretical part describes the principles of youth clubs (NZDM) and the specifics of their target group and previous research. In the theoretical part selected developmental changes taking place in adolescence are described and last but not least this part focuses on aggression - theories of its origin, forms and functions. The empirical part of the thesis describes a research conducted in 8 youth clubs (NZDM). The first part of the research dealt primarily with the question of the level of aggression among youth attending youth clubs and the data collection was carried out through use of The Buss and Perry Aggression Questionnaire (BPAQ-SF). The second part of the research consisted of conducting semi- structured interviews also with youth attending these facilities. The thesis then describes findings that emerged from both parts of the research. In particular, the higher average scores of target group in the administered questionnaires are discussed, and thus the assumed higher tendency to behave hostile towards their surroundings. The Availability of Social Assistance in Třešť - Situational Analysis

This diploma thesis is divided into theoretical and practical parts. Theoretical part is divided into three main chapters. First chapter focuses on characteristics of the town of Trest and its offered services for its citizens. Second chapter focuses on problematics of families with unsupported children, specifically issues that threaten the functioning of the family in the society. It primarily focuses on financial and residential problematics, also social exclusion or socially pathological phenomena, that can occur in the family. In this chapter there can be also found short part about risky situations that can put stability of the family in danger. Last, third chapter, focuses on social help guaranteed by the state to families with unsupported children and also to services providing help and support to families. For practical part of the thesis I chose qualitative methodology of research. Data collecting was carried out through professional public living or working in the town of Trest. These people were involved in the problematics of social services and help for families with children in the town of Trest. The main goal was to reflect social problems of the families with children in Trest. The research was carried out through qualitative semi-structured interviews. Research questions were focused on what possibilities do citizens of the town of Trest have in the unfavourable social situations. One of the goals was to find out how is the situation of social help in Trest. Through interviews it was also discovered how the professional public views current state of social help and providing social services in the town, and how are the families in need of help targeted. This diploma thesis should be benefit to the town of Trest as an evaluation of the current state of social services for families with children in the town with the focus on social help. It also offers preview to the public workers and citizens into the proposal of policy that will offer another possible point of view of solution of the problematics of social situation of families with unsupported children in the town of Trest.
The live of users in nursing homes and in the home environment

The aim of this diploma thesis is to track the subjective reasons clients move to a nursing home. The theoretical part is focused on social work with the elderly, the legislative framework of the care service and the offer of assistance for the elderly. One of the chapters is devoted to the needs of old age. Part of the work is devoted to proper communication with the elderly. The end of the theoretical part is devoted to the importance of one's family in the care of the elderly and changes of one's home (moving). A qualitative research strategy was used in the diploma thesis. The research was a field research. The method of data collection was a semi-structured interview. The data were processed using qualitative content analysis and the creation of biographies of research participants. Three groups of respondents from the entire South Bohemian Region took part in the research. The first group consisted of elderly people who live in a home environment and use Home health care. The second group consisted of elderly people who live in a nursing home. The research also included a third group - employees in the care area. The most common reasons for moving to a nursing home were deteriorating health, musculoskeletal pain, frequent pain and falls. Another often mentioned reason was the fear that they could no longer take care of themselves due to reduced self-sufficiency. Most of the elderly people interviewed relied on the help of family and friends. Among the often mentioned reasons was the death of one's spouse and the fact that the family no longer wants or isn't able take care of them. From the point of view of employees, the reason may also be the solution of a housing and financial problem. Only one respondent was strongly dissatisfied with living in a nursing home. The results of the research can serve as feedback and information material for employees of care service.
Evaluating the effectiveness the social services sheltered housing

The theme of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of the social services sheltered housing. Due to demographic developments, increasing demand for social services and increasing spending in the social sector, the effectiveness of social services will be an increasingly important topic. We can assume, that because of to these factors, there will be more pressure on social services to prove their results. This study talks about theoretical concepts of effectiveness and defines the concept of effectiveness, which could be applied in social services. The work summarizes the models of measuring effectiveness in selected countries, including the Czech Republic, and specifies the concept of effectiveness in the Carlsbad region, in which sheltered housing social services are provided. The work also defines the term "the need" of the users of the social services and presents models, that can identify those needs. The part, that determines the effectiveness of social services, is in the research section. This is the part, where identification of adverse social situations and identification of meeting the needs of the users, is specified. Need and possibility of improving servises of low-treshold facilities for children and youth "Club 21" in Beroun

The subject of this thesis is to map the external environment of help available to children and youth provided by low threshold facilities such as the "club 21" in Beroun. Through research with practitioners in selected institutions, the thesis investigates the need and possibilities of improving its services in the context of the major areas of social environment - social, technical, economic and political - legal. In order to achieve this objective the theoretical part identifies the milestones in the history of the development of social services in general, and in relation their function and contribution to society. The following section deals with low-threshold facilities in its objectives, mission and services, content and methods of work including the characteristics of the "Club 21". The practical part describes research work carried out by qualitative research in its various phases, it summarizes and interprets the findings and it converts them to the level of observable characters. In addition to mapping and orientation of the real possibilities of low-threshold facilities development for children and youth "Club 21" the aim of this thesis is also to provide an opportunity to apply their knowledge in practice.
The experience of EMS workers in accessing patients in an unfavourable social situation

The diploma thesis deals with the experiences of emergency medical workers when going to patients in an unfavorable social situation. Medical rescue service according to Act No. 374/2011 Coll. on emergency medical services, should provide pre-hospital emergency care to patients in acute life-threatening conditions. Nevertheless, the crews of the ambulance service go to patients whose problems fall more into the social field. These patients do not primarily need medical intervention, yet rescuers in the field have to deal with these situations. The aim of the diploma thesis was to find out and compare the experience of rescuers when going to patients in an unfavorable social situation. Find out how rescuers experience and interpret these situations, what situations they encounter during these trips and how they understand the concept of an unfavorable social situation. The theoretical part of this work deals with the definition of basic concepts in the field of emergency medical services and social work. The empirical part is devoted to qualitative research. It contains a description of the research methodology, analysis of interviews with rescuers and their evaluation. Life of mothers with children in a shelter.

This thesis deals with the life of mothers with children in the shelter. The thesis maps expectations of these women about living in the shelter in the confrontation with their real experience. The thesis is divided into several parts. Theoretical part consists of nine subchapters where the basic concepts related to the issue of social services - shelters, unfavorable social situation, social exclusion and social inclusion are defined. The thesis describes the principles of the activity of shelters for mothers with children, deals with the state of care for mothers with children in our country and characterizes the development and changes in the function of the family. The thesis also deals with the reasons leading to the loss of housing, the issues of homelessness and housing accessibility. It describes and characterizes the possibilities of social protection of mothers with children without home, besides social services - shelters also conditions for entitlement to social benefits and the relevant legislation. The empirical part defines the objectives, research methods and results, which are illustrated and described in tables, discussion and final summary. The main aim of the thesis was to find out the expectations of the mothers with children about the life in the shelter in confrontation with their real experience. The partial objectives of the thesis were to find out for what causes mothers with children come to the shelter and how their needs are met. Research questions have been identified for these objectives: For what reasons do mothers with children seek for help in the shelter? What are the expectations of mothers with children about living in the shelter? What is the real experience of mothers with children living in the shelter? Were the expectations of mothers with children about living in the shelter met? Empirical part of the thesis was processed by the method of qualitative research using semi-structured interview with opened questions. For data evaluation the method of open coding was used. The research group consisted of six women - mothers with children living in the shelter in the South Bohemian Region. Given the sensitivity of the topic the identification data of women and the shelter were not mentioned in this thesis. The research pointed out the issue of (in)availability of housing for single mothers with children in the unfavorable social situation. The most common reason for loss of housing is the break-up of the partnership, the dismissal of housing and lack of funds. The research also revealed that the main expectation of all interviewed women is to provide accommodation and stay with their children. This thesis helped to find out which services the clients seek the most and whether their needs are fulfilled.

Whole thesis is theoretical and define basic ideas that are necessary to understand for connecting ,,pedagogy of free time" with asylum house as free time, subject ,,pedagogy of free time", description of each individual stages of child evolution, game as important part of child´s life, influence of environmental and then description of child´s life in asylum house.
